Options Menu

Use the Options menu to define most of a report's details in one place, such as whether a report is public or private, and the color scheme. These options can also be defined from the Report Options widget (Tools >> Report Options).

Contents

Field Description
Public/Private Select Private to save the report as visible to only you, or Public to allow other users to access the report.
Enabled/Disabled Select the appropriate option to enable or disable the report. When a checkmark displays it is enabled. Disabled reports cannot be run, cloned, exported, shared or scheduled. Reports that repeatedly fail will be automatically disabled, based on the system setting Maximum Number Of Materialization Attempts.
Rollup Click Add Sub-total rows to toggle this on or off. When enabled, a summary row is added to reports that have grouped columns. Reports with two or more grouped columns show a summary for each grouping. Columns that use aggregate functions will have super-aggregate results in their summary rows. You can adjust the grouping order to restructure the result.
Distinct Rows Click Distinct Rows Only to toggle the option to see or hide duplicate rows. When this option is enabled, duplicate rows are not visible when the report is previewed or output.
Audience

Click to close Report Options and open the Filters widget where you define the type of user to filter against to show only the data relevant to that user. For example filter against Hiring Manager on a Candidate report to show only the candidates hired by the logged in user.

An audience filter allows you to target your report's output to individual users. From the user groups, or roles, found within the report's data objects, you define the target audience. Users running the report see only the rows relevant to them. Scheduled reports that contain audience filters generate individual reports for each recipient. An audience filter that is static (read-only) functions as a filter that prevents viewers from seeing more information than they should. An audience filter that is prompted (a run-time filter) allows viewers to filter the report based on their user group.

Report Style Click to expand and select from a list of color options for the body and header of your report.
Module Click to select the module to associate with this report, which will help users find it from the Reports Management screen, if filtering by Module.
Refresh Preview Automatically Click to toggle this option on or off.
